Meet the Team
We’re excited to introduce Wijco Zalm this week in our “Meet the TEam” series!
Wijco has been with Thermo Electric for nearly 20 years, starting his journey through an employment agency before quickly becoming a permanent part of the team.
What makes Wijco’s career truly impressive is his versatility—he’s mastered nearly every role in the company, except welding (which he’s now actively training for!). His motivation comes from working closely with his team and contributing to the production of high-quality products, such as RTDs and thermocouples.
Wijco believes staying calm under pressure, communicating clearly, and being a good listener are key to his success. His proudest achievement? Being part of the team that produces subminiature sensors used globally in large vessels and tanks.
Outside of work, Wijco has been playing the tuba for over 30 years and loves taking trips around the Netherlands with his family in their caravan. His personal motto, “Komt tijd, komt Grolsch,” reminds us that patience and persistence lead to great results.
